The coaches for the Under 10 age group are Steve Grew, Andy Wright, Katie and Andy Brown.
For new players a two week taster session is available which is free of charge. All equipment is provided by the club. At this level the game is soft ball based with the youngsters learning the basics of the game and improving coordination skills such as catching. throwing and striking using a bat and ball. The emphasis is always on fun in a safe and friendly environment. Youngsters are given the opportunity to practice their skills in small sided game related exercises to build confidence and a sense of enjoyment and achievement. New players always welcome!
In the summer months training and matches are also likely to be on Friday evenings. Training will take place at the Nottingham Rd ground.
The club is partcularly keen to welcome girls to the game of cricket so if there are any budding cricketing girls out there then you are more than welcome at Barrow. We have a female coach in Katie Brown and she and the other coaches would be delighted to see you!
