The Sunday XI lost a nail biting game on Sunday against Tilton on the Hill on Sunday 26th April. The visitors batted first on a bright sunny day and soon lost Lapworth to Josh Taylor on debut for the club. He went on to take 2 for 59 off 10 overs and made a very good promising start to his Barrow career. These bowlers were backed up by Tim Foster 1 for 10, Matt Taylor 0 for 33 and Rob Taylor who stepped in at the last moment and bowled well and returned figures of 0 for 17 off 5 overs. Matt Taylor made 12 and Barrow lost a couple of quick wickets when Josh Taylor and Matt Clarkson both fell in a short space of time. Michael Mace on the other hand smashed 31 and was playing really well when he was run out. Skipper Gavin Noon and George Foster then tried to up the tempo and both perished going for quick runs Noon falling one short of a half century and Foster being run out for a well played 33. It was left to Tim Foster and Ryan Dew to get the team over the line but they just fell short in their quest.
