2nd team had a great win despite the elements and losing the toss in a match reduced to 35 overs per side. Barrow were 34 for 4 after 9 overs but a stand of 74 between Dave Smith (47) and Tim Taylor (53) took it to 108 for 5 after 23. Quick runs were now needed and were indeed added but at the cost of being all out for 154 after 30 overs, giving Barwell 40 overs to chase the win.
Excellent bowling from all 4 bowlers used quickly reduced Barwell to a state of disarray and the were eventually all out for 75 in the 21st over. Chris Bond took 4 wickets in his first 4 overs, finishing with 4 for 36, while Umah Aftab mopped up the tail with 3 for 5.
